Elevated Aloe Vera Mango Drink

This drink is delicious, refreshing and healing!

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera comes as a gel that can be applied to your skin and drunk as a juice.

This plant remedy contains compounds that reduce swelling in the skin, decrease redness, soothe itchy skin, and promote the growth of new skin cells. These properties make aloe vera useful for treating skin conditions such as: acne, psoriasis, cold sores, minor burns and sunburn, insect bites and stings, cuts and scrapes. When taken by mouth, aloe vera may help lower cholesterol and blood sugar and ease heartburn. Aloe vera has been used to promote healthy digestion. The natural enzymes in aloe vera, and the fiber in mangoes, may help regulate bowel movements and improve gastrointestinal issues.

We use fresh aloe vera in the recipe below, though you could use aloe juice, fresh is preferred. Sadly, most of the commercial aloe vera drinks are packed with sugar. We advise fresh aloe vera gel for a better health benefit.
